of a certain offense. A person is detained in the police custody if that person is unfit to be tried in respect of the offense or if the suspect is acquitted of an offense.

 Criminal detention is a concern with the detention at the police custody. In criminal detention, a police require a reasonable suspicion. Law enforcement officers temporary stops the suspect in a public place

. The person is detained to create space to find himself and to prove his presence. Metal detector, drug-sniffing dogs, and computer search are some of the legal methods used for searching during criminal detention.
